Woltmann Water Meter

Screw-wing water meter, also known as Woltmann water meter, is a kind of speed water meter suitable for use in large caliber pipes, which is characterized by large flow capacity and small pressure loss.

Like a rotary-wing water meter, a screw-wing water meter belongs to a speed water meter. When the water flows into the water meter, the impeller of the screw wing shape of the water meter is rotated along the direction of the axis, and the speed of the impeller is proportional to the speed of the water flow. After the deceleration gear drive, the total amount of water passing through the water meter is displayed on the indicator device.

Snail-wing water meter is divided into two categories: horizontal-wing water meter and vertical-wing water meter. Most industrial meters used in the country are horizontal screw-wing water meters. . Horizontal screw-wing water meter

The horizontal screw-wing water meter, also known as the turbine water meter, refers to the horizontal line (or coincidence) of the screw-wing axis and the water pipe axis of the water meter, the impeller of which is in the shape of the screw-wing. This is not to say that this water meter can only be installed horizontally. Of course, if this water meter really needs to be installed vertically, then the water meter with gem end flat bearing in the bearing hole of the screw wing shaft on the inlet side should be selected to reduce the friction resistance and prolong the service life of the water meter. Some imported types of screw-wing water meters use dynamic balance technology, which can work in horizontal, inclined and vertical state, but the metering grade of water meter should be reduced by one level when working in non-horizontal state.

The horizontal screw wing type water meter is mainly composed of watch case, rectifier, error regulating device, screw wing, support, worm gear, counting mechanism, watch glass, sealing gasket and middle cover, etc.

Vertical screw wing water meter, refers to the spiral wing axis and water pipe axis perpendicular.

The vertical wing of the vertical wing water meter is supported vertically by the center, so the wear resistance is better than that of the horizontal wing sleeve. The small flow metering capacity of vertical screw wing water meter is stronger than that of horizontal screw wing water meter.

III. Removable horizontal screw wing water meter

Removable horizontal screw wing water meter in the process of use, if the machine parts damage, cannot remove the water meter, and repair or replace, so as not to stop water or less water. Removable horizontal wing type water meter parts are versatile and the flow range is wider than horizontal wing type.

IV. Double water meter

A composite water meter, also known as a combined water meter, also known as a mother-and-child water meter, is composed of a horizontal wing water meter with different calibers and a rotary-wing water meter, in which the large-caliber water meter (or perhaps a one-way valve) is the same and connected to the pipe caliber, and the small-caliber water meter becomes its bypass line.

When the flow rate is small or very small, the one-way valve connected to the large-caliber screw-wing water meter on the main line is closed, and the water flow flows through its bypass through the small-caliber rotary-wing water meter and back to the main line; when the flow rate increases, the one-way valve starts to open, most of the water is through the large-caliber screw-wing water meter, and there is still a small amount of water through the small-caliber water meter. Some measuring bodies of double water meters aggregate the data recorded by the two water meters to the total quantity body, reflecting the amount of water passing through the double water meter.

The maximum characteristic of the compound water meter is that the range ratio is quite large (>1000), which is suitable for the occasions where the flow rate changes greatly, but because the one-way valve is added to increase the pressure loss. In addition, large volume and heavy weight are also the shortcomings of the compound water meter.
